Welcome to Navajo Tribal Utility Authority Online

Ya’aa’teeh. This year, the Navajo Tribal Utility Authority celebrates its 56th anniversary. In 1959, NTUA started out as a small water utility in Shiprock, NM. In decades since, NTUA has grown into the largest multi-utility enterprise owned and operated by an American Indian tribe. NTUA is proud of its history and celebrates its progress. With teamwork and respect, NTUA employees continue to move forward to provide electric, water, wastewater, natural gas, solar energy, and communications for the great Navajo Nation which spans across northern Arizona, northwestern New Mexico and southeastern Utah. In the Navajo culture, the phrase Naa’haan’deel’nish means We work for You. In keeping with that concept, NTUA works for the People. That has been the primary mission since 1959.
